Malcolm Hood has been an effective lobbyist throughout the south for over 30 years.  He built his reputation and business on his strong work ethic, a combination of dedication to hard work and ability to display discipline in completing tasks. These two things combined with a demonstration of solid moral and ethical principals complete Malcolm’s distinguished work ethic. For more than 40 years he has proven that honesty, personal integrity and hard work are especially effective qualities in the field of governmental relations. Both elected and appointed public officials have a deep respect and trust for Malcolm Hood.

 

Malcolm began his governmental relations career with CLECO and Louisiana Intrastate Gas over 30 years ago. He went on to serve as the Government relations manager for Tenneco for 14 states, representing their diverse interests (automotive, energy, farm equipment, packaging, and shipbuilding).

 

Beside Louisiana and Mississippi, Malcolm has extensive government relations experience in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Nebraska.

 

Early in his career Malcolm served over eight years as the highly effective assistant to the Louisiana Public Service Commission, Third District Commissioner. Additional Public Service includes serving on the Louisiana Office of Conservation’s Ad Hoc Committee that drafted the rules and regulations to implement the Natural Resources Act of 1973.

 

Malcolm has always known the importance of being a team player. A supporter of business and industry in all areas, Malcolm is a highly respected member of several professional trade organizations including LABI (Louisiana Association of Business and Industry), LMOGA (Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas), Council for a Better Louisiana, MMA (Mississippi Manufactures Association).
